I hate people when they’re not polite – All The News That’s Fun To Print:

“Real News, Compelling Stories, Always Positive” is what you’ll find on We believe virtue, goodwill and heroism are hot news. That’s why we bring you up-to-the-minute news, geared to lift spirits and inspire lives. Add in a diverse team of Citizen Journalists reporting positive stories from around the world, and you’ve got one happy place for news.

You know, I read somewhere that when the happy and friendly in the world causes discomfort it’s a sign of a psychopath. Combine that with my hatred of saying something once, and then saying it again and, well…Qu’est-ce que c’est?

Bickering on the half shell

As has been previously mentioned, Kurt and I like to argue on public forums for the entertainment of ourselves and others. I’m saving this one because I like it and because I do not trust the technical proficiency of the person responsible for the forum on which it was created.

New Alternate Reality Game about Online Poker Murder

First call for Last Call Poker – A new Alternate Reality Game (the genre of I Love Bees) is starting up based around murders at an online poker game. These games are always most fun when you get in on the ground floor, though that requires you be speculative. This one, however looks well made and well financed.
As usual, Unfiction is already working away at it.

Happy Happy, Joy Joy!

IGN: IGN Interviews Billy West:
IGNFF: And what about the rumors of new Futurama adventures on the horizon?

WEST: Well, they’re more than rumors. I was talked to. The first bulletin that I got is that they were in talks with Fox because Fox was very, very happy with the way the DVDs were selling. (Executive Producer) David Cohen told me they were in talks with Fox and that things were looking great, and that their idea was to make a Futurama movie to DVD, and then maybe release a second one. Then I heard that it was decided to do that.

IGNFF: And you’re ready and rarin’ to go?

WEST: I’m ready and rarin’ to go, because I love that show more than anything. I thought it was just far and away above anything I had ever done.

GA Bar ICLE Tech Law Seminar – Morning

I’m spending today at the 20th annual Bar of georgia Technology Law Institute.  Rather than listen mindlessly as people fumble over describing how P2P networking works I have decided I will do a live journal update for the conference.  Considering the number of viewers I have, live does not need to be live; since the GA bar is providing WiFi without connectivity, it will come in chunks.  I’ll add in formating and important links after the event (probably tomorrow).  I guess this is the value of a wiki…

Here’s the Morning session:

EDIT: Actually, given the brevity of the afternoon session, and the fact that the first part was unremarkable, and the second part is available for download from the Tech law section’s web site, I’m not going to have a followup post.

Anti-smoking propaganda

Originally uploaded by Mr. Photocapy.

Where does the smoke go? Only the person smoking is unconcerned.

This considerate smoking agitprop from Japan is pretty great, and leads to a similarly great website that has results about smoking manners.

EDIT: I ripped the site of all the posters and, because I love you, I made an archive for you to download.
